Comparison of Nationally Certified Psychological Professions between Japan and China
This paper aims to explore prospects by comparing national qualifications for
psychological professions between Japan and China. Key differences identified include
the introduction of a hierarchical system for psychological professions, eligibility criteria
for national examinations, and the scope of duties for psychologists. Based on these
differences, it is suggested that creating a system that promotes gradual growth,
such as a hierarchical model, and establishing an environment conducive to receiving
supervision are important for the development of psychological professions.
