Games Nature and Mind Play: Cognizing Ambivalence in Pain of Separation

From the wars among hordes of monkeys and apes, through the wars of primitive human groups, and the wars between liberals and the democrats, a common train of thought runs, and it is ambivalence. These games of nature reach immense complexity in human mind. Below this upheaval runs the perennial affectionate current that blossom in friendly ties, and drive the foes from zero-sum games towards nonzero-sum games. These cognitive affectionate biases fade as groups expand in space, time, and number. Any threat of loss of these affectionate biases in cognition arouse the emotional systems in men and animals in similar way. The loss of an affectionate one, or even some cherished idea about some object, is detrimental to the mental health of the person, and pain ensues. Mourning is a natural way of recovery from the pain of separation, where the loved one is followed in afterlife also. Though a few never recover from the loss. The pain of separation, where ambivalence prevails towards the lost loved object, set some souls towards creative ways. They even endure hardships in seeking their goals, the activities are not only self-satisfying, society values such pursuits
