The present study aims to bring out the relationship between neurodiversity attitudes
of school teachers and the compassion fatigue experienced by them. The sample for
the study included school teachers from Kerala with experience in teaching neurodiverse
populations. The Neurodiversity Attitudes Questionnaire by Schuck et al. was used to
assess the participant’s attitudes towards neurodiversity and the Professional Quality
of Life Scale Version 5 by Stamm was used to measure their levels of compassion
fatigue. The data was analysed using SPSS. Speraman’s rho was used to compute
the correlation between the variables and Mann Whitney U test was used to test the
differences among inclusive and special school teachers with respect to the study
variables. The results showed that neurodiversity was positively correlated with
compassion satisfaction and negatively correlated with burnout. No significant difference
was seen between inclusive and special school teachers on neurodiversity attitude
and compassion fatigue
