This study has identified trends in education in Bangladesh. Education in Bangladesh
starts at the age of five years for primary pre-primary education. Apart from the general
schools, there are religious schools called “Madrasas”. Low quality of education,
inaccessible environment, inadequate training, inadequate resources, lack of teaching
materials, lack of confidence in teaching staff, and negative attitudes towards pupils
and students with special needs are some of the barriers to inclusive education in
Bangladesh.
